WINE BY THE BOTTLE

WHITE:                
1. Michel Servin Blanc 2014, French Regions     £17.95
Gold list winner at the Sommelier Wine Awards 2013 for its Crisp and dry with a zingy finish, perfect for rice, pasta and simple white meat and fish dishes.

2. Pierre Lacasse Sauvignon Blank 2015     £18.95
Vin de France – a lively, clear wine with a delicate nose. Green apple and lime flavours on the palate with some refined mineral notes.

3. Pierre Lacasse Chardonnay 2015     £18.95
A very juicy, crisp and delicate wine which has a bright gold colour and an inviting scent of Honey, Melon and Peach.  On the palate, you experience aromas, of peach, apricot and melon as well as some floral nuances.    

4. Masseo Pinot Grigio, Italy 2014     £18.95
An intense straw colour and also an ample, lasting fruity bouquet. The palate is dry, soft and well balanced, with a hint of spice on the finish.

5. El Coto white Rioja 2014     £22.95
Pale yellow with green hues. Clean and bright, high intensity of white fruits with citrus undertones. Hints of pineapple and herbaceous notes with a balsamic background.

6. Fathoms Sauvignon Blanc,  Marlborough, New Zealand, 2014       £23.95
Typical of Marlborough Sauvignon, the bouquet springs from the glass, offering plumes of citrus, green grass and elderflower. The palate is a burst of crisp grapefruit and gooseberry flavours.

7. La Giustiniana Gavi di Gavi ‘Lugarara’  2013, Piemonte     £24.50    
The wine ‘s aroma of stone fruit and lime peel are immediately beguiling and followed by a subtle yet persistent bouquet of green apples. The palate is well balanced with a fresh acidity and good structure. Pleasant almond notes linger on the finish.

8. Sancerre ‘Les Baronnieres’ France, 2014    £27.50
A crisp aromatic dry white wine with a distinctive flora; aroma.  Perfect as an accompaniment to seafood, fish and goats cheese.

9. Laroche, Chablis, Burgandy, France 2014     £28.95
A brilliant yellow in colour, this wine has a crisp, fresh taste which is refreshing, smooth and harmonious with notes of apple and pear.
    
10. ‘Izadi Rioja Blanco, Spain 2013     £25.95
Straw yellow in colour with bright green tones.  With succulent citrus and yellow stone fruit on both the nose and the palate, this fresh wine is well-structured and has a refreshing acidity.

11. Baron de Baussac, Voigner 2014    £24.95
This Voigner has been made from grapes from a low yielding vine which results in a very concentrated and aromatic Cuvée.  This is a round and fruity Voigner, displaying aromas of ripe peaches and pears, with hints of lychees and apricots on the palate.

12. Cà dei Frati Lugana ‘I Frati’ 2013     £27.95
Light yellow in colour with a concentrated but fresh perfume of white flowers, peaches and ripe lemons.  On the palate it has excellent depth and balance, with lovely richness and a crisp, lively finish.

13. Pouilly, Fuisse, Chateau de Chaintre  Burgandy, France 2013.     £32.00       
A fruit-forward Burgandy with a lovely balance between purity, minerality and complexity.

14. Puligny-Montrachet, David Moret,   Burgandy, France 2013.   £55.00
A delicious Puligny with zesty citrus flavours and spicy undertones that continue long after your glass is empty. Delicious and complex, it is difficult to find a white wine quite like it outside of Burgandy.

Australia An inviting nose of plum, earth and eucalyptus leads into a palate of blackberry and raspberry, with a supple texture and a satisfying fruit sweetness. Perfect with all meat dishes and rich pasta sauces.

17. Finca Clasica Malbec/Shiraz 2015     £18.75    
Lively intense red with an aroma of raspberries and plums. The Palate is soft and easy with plenty of fruit and a long pleasant finish

18. Marquès Dè Laia Rioja, 2013     £19.95
Spain Red cherry colour of medium intensity with violet hues. Aromas of ripe red fruits with a subtle floral bouquet and notes of cinnamon and clove. In mouth soft but with body and structure. Pairs well with Serrano ham, tapas, whole roasted fish and lasagne.

19. ‘Finca Los Primos’ Malbec, 2015     £22.50
Argentina This wine is crafted from handpicked grapes ripened under the hot Argentine sun.  An easy drinking straight up Malbec filled with savoury aromas and smooth flavours of ripe black cherry and toasty oak.  

20. San Millàn Rioja Reserva 2010, Spain     £22.50
Red cherry in colour with violet hues. An extremely fresh nose with aromas of ripe red fruits and a subtle floral bouquet and notes of cinnamon and cloves. On the palate the wine is soft yet with good body and a remarkable structure. A long soft finish makes this wine most pleasant.

21. McLaren Vale Shiraz, 16 Stops     £22.50
South Australia, 2013 Youthful and vibrant Shiraz, with a lovely dark fruit and spiced plum character. It is ripe and silky, giving the wine a texture that is unusual at this price.

22.‘Lionheart of the Barossa’ Shiraz     £24.95
South Australia, 2013 Generous blackberry, raspberry and plums with lashings of sweet spice and dark chocolatey nuances.

23. David Reynaud Crozes Hermitage     £29.50
‘Georges Reynaud’ Northern Rhône Deep red in colour. Fresh perfumes of red berries and cherry. The palate is full with a gentle and smooth texture. Red fruits combine with subtle black olives and the delicate spiciness of barrel ageing. The finish is long with supple tannins and juicy berry fruit.

24. Rioja Reserva, Izadi, Spain 2011     £25.95
Shiny ruby red in colour.  Rich aromatic intensity and a nice balance of red fruit, liquorice and spices, with hints of smoke in the background.  Elegant and round on the palate with a long aftertaste full of floral and ripe fruit notes.

25. Seghesio Sonoma County Zinfandel     £29.50
California Full of the spicy, lush black fruit of the Alexander Valley. Briary and raspberry flavours emerge on the palate along with the structure of the cooler Dry Creek Valley. Balanced and elegant.

26. Willunga 100, Viognier Shiraz     £22.50
McLaren Vale, Australia 2013 Aromatics of dark plum, cherry, spice and earthy undertones. The palate is generous and rich and does not disappoint with these characters shining through, coupled with dark berries. A long tannin structure integrated with new and older French oak make this wine one that will age very well.

Pinot Noir This delicately scented Pinot Noir is a lively pale ruby red colour with strawberry and cake spice flavours, silky tannins and mouth-watering acidity. The finish is violet scented including blackberry and blueberry, sweet, toasty oak and ripe, full tannins.

28. Forefront Pinot Noir     £29.50
Napa Valley, California Brilliant aromas of juicy red cherry, strawberry and rhubarb amid hints of subtle cinnamon. The palate teems with luscious blueberry, raspberry and vivid cherry fruit. Vibrant acidity and faultless balance characterise the lush palate. The wine finishes smoothly with hints of ground clove and bramble berry lingering to the last.

Les Hauts Dé Perganson 2012 Deep ruby red in the glass. Lush and ripe, the bouquet abounds with aromas of blackberries and cassis. On the palate, velvety tannins are balanced with excellent acidity. A delicious Bordeaux blend ready to drink now.

30. Amarone Classico ‘Vigneti di Roccolo     £34.00
Cantina Negrar 2013 Brooding, deep, intense aromas of Christmas cake, chocolate, cinnamon, sweet fruits and spice. The concentrated palate offers a thick texture and soft velvety tannins, very rich fruit characteristics.

31. Massolini Barolo, Italy, 2011     £44.00

Bright ruby-garnet in colour with an intense nose, perfumes of dark fruit and a touch of cloves with a savoury, herbal note. On the palate it is full-bodied yet elegant, with plenty of robust but ripe tannins supporting the dark, dried plum and autumn compote fruit character and balancing the acidity. Long and fine, with perfumes of roses and violets on the finish.

32. Vivens Margaux 2009 (France)     £44.95
Beautiful dark red colour with purple tints. The nose is very expressive, with intense aromas of cassis and blackberries, which are also noticeable in the mid-palate. Ample and round, the body is well structured with polished tannins and delicate layers of oak. Smoke and slight spicy notes rise after further airing of the wine. Stylish and balanced, the 2008 Vivens is a very refined and multi-nuanced Margaux.

33. Allegrini Palazzo Della Torre 2012     £32.95
Bright red colour, full-bodied and velvety taste and in harmony with the olfactory notes of ripe fruit but fresh and fragrant at the same time. The tannin and structure important guarantee a great aging potential. A classic of Italian wine that goes perfectly with the culinary traditions of this country.

34. Shaw and Smith Shiraz Adelaide Hills     £34.95
The (relatively) cool climate of the Adelaide Hills and the deft touch of cousins Martin Shaw and Michael Hill Smith MW produce this decidedly European style of Shiraz. With a complex nose of black pepper, smoke, grilled meats and blackberry the palate has a lush texture, real purity and balance.

35. Saint-Estèphe, Château Capbern     £49.95
Gasqueton, Bordeaux,2011 A beautifully balanced wine. It has all the hallmarks you would expect from a St. Estèphe, with charming cassis fruit and structured but not drying tannins. It is drinking very well now, but can be laid down for many years.

French Regions Bright and crisp, with very subtle strawberry fruit and a refreshing dryness. The small proportion of Muscat adds a dash of juicy grapeyness. Refreshing to drink on its own, or as an accompaniment to simple seafood dish.

37. Blushmore Zinfandel Rosé 2014, Italy     £18.75
A fantastic example of a Zinfandel rosé made as an easy drinking wine full of fruit flavours. A great wine to be enjoyed with salads and sharing dishes or simply on its own.

38. Domaine La Chautarde Rosé            £21.50
Provence 2013, South of France A light, dry and fruity rosé, with strawberry, red cherry flavours accompanying subtler flavours of watermelon and nectarine. Soft acidity and delicate juiciness make for a refreshed palate.

Semi sparkling wine, Fruity in flavour and a delicate and fine bouquet. Excellent as aperitif and with light meals.

Made mainly from Pinot grapes from the Montagne de Reims together with Chardonnay from Côtes des Blancs, this aromatic cuvee is full flavoured.  This versatile champagne works well as an aperitif and can also be enjoyed throughout a meal.

NV Champagne  From Champagne's oldest cellars, this Champagne has peach and acacia notes on the nose, a citrus-fresh yet delicately honeyed palate, and a beautiful, elegant finish.

NV Champagne  Bollinger is made from first-run juice only, the majority of vineyards used have Premier and Grand Cru status, resulting in full-bodied Champagne of great class. Delightful pale gold colour, the mousse light persistent.
